Host Family
Staying with a host family is a very popular option because you will be able to practise the English you are learning outside of the classroom, in real-world situations. Students will also be able to gain a deeper understanding and appreciation of the Maltese way of life as they’ll be immersed in it every day.
Host families are carefully chosen by the schools, after a rigorous screening process. Interestingly enough, Malta is one of the few places where host families are subject to government regulations and must have a tourism license.
Generally, single rooms are available, but, in some cases, twin rooms can be reserved for those travelling on their own. In this case, the school will assign another person of the same gender.
